Owl tree really is incredible, both for kids and adults. The fact the themes changes weekly- the kids are always so excited to go, they love the activities the crafts the toys and of course song time- especially if it’s a Hannah song time!! Active owl allows them to climbs and play and let off steam and the outdoor space now is amazing, it’s such a lovely space to be in. As a parent there is always a friendly face (even if you don’t know anyone) - it’s been a lifeline and a community. The food is great and affordable too. Can’t recommend enough!

Proves as a lifeline to many parents within the northeast community far and wide. They have lots of classes to book onto for baby to toddlers. There is plenty space to play, eat and explore on grounds with disabled and baby changing facilities. They provide great homemade meals, snack trays, sandwiches and soups. Messy play, weekly crafts and song time is also included in your stay.

The Owl Tree has saved me from the insanity of having two small children. You can pop along easily, eat some lovely (cheap!) homely food and enjoy the company of other friendly parents and families, all whilst your kids get to enjoy a range of activities that change every week. We love you Owl Tree

Really couldn't rate it higher it was brilliant! First time visiting today and will certainly be going back. My 18 month old loved it, so much for them to do and then a separate room which had a mini soft play in, climbing frames, slides etc. Also a lovely looking sensory room which we didnt use but looked in. Loads of choice for food, both adults and kids. Really big generous portions too for the price really cheap. 100% will be back and have told others about it too!

The best place in Newcastle to take babies/children. So welcoming, delicious food and drink, theme changes every week, toys for all ages, and a very worthy cause. Also hosts events and parties. We love it here!

We visited The Owl Tree Children's Cafe for the first time on 23rd July 2025 and I was genuinely amazed at how helpful and caring the owner of the establishment is. On arrival I was greeted, given a table and introduced to the people I was sharing it with, each time someone new came to the table we were introduced to each other again by the owner. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful even though it was super busy due to the school holidays. Both my 9 month old and my 6 year old both thoroughly enjoyed themselves, playing, making crafts and the food options available. There really is something for all young children here. This cafe promotes a welcoming environment for parents and children alike and a social community that may not be available to some in other circumstances.
